Naattarasan

This visit was during the time when Modi declared Rs.500 and Rs.1000 invalid (may they rest in peace), the day-to-day life of the people took a hit as physical currency was hard to find at that time. But luckily for me, this situation allowed me to visit various restaurants, because the only way I can pay for my food was using the card.

Naattarasan is located between Guduvancheri and Urapakkam, in the GST highway to Chennai, and is easily visible from the road (especially the flag you down from the side of the road). The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasant, the interior of the restaurant is thoughtfully designed.

During our visit, we ordered some Grilled Chicken, Tandoori Chicken, Butter Naan and Chicken Biryani. I've also tasted their Squid Fry, I would definitely recommend this dish, it is simply delicious and is rarely available in the neighborhood. Our food was brought to us a bit late because of the unexpected volume of guests (because of the demonetization thing), their kitchen was overwhelmed.

Even though the kitchen was overwhelmed, it didn't show on the quality of the food, every dish served to us was simply done to perfection.

The only con I noticed in this restaurant was the absurdly priced dessert menu. The quantity of the dessert was in no way justifiable for the amount charged.

Food: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Hospitality: 4/5

Overall: 4/5

Pricing: Moderately expensive
