Safil's shack

My friends and i had a chance to visit this wonderful restaurant by the beach side during the New Year of 2017. This wonderful restaurant is located in Baga beach along the coast line where the shacks are located. The atmosphere is lovely and highly energetic with a party vibe to lift the spirits of the folks who visit the place.

There is no better place to be than Baga beach on New Year in India, the sheer number of clubs and parties alone is enough to make one's head spin. Also, this is the single largest gathering of people in India from all over India. Not to mention the insane number of pubs which are located in the Tito's lane of Baga beach.

My evening on New Years days started with meeting up with a few of my friends who have just arrived in Goa after a their visit to Mumbai. After all the catching up about their travels and our visit to Deltin Royale, we decided to hit the beach and visit a few shacks. Baga greeted us with awe and bedazzlement as the pubs were pumping adrenalin infused party music which makes people go wild. After scouting the beach for a while, we decided to get a table in "Safil's Shack".

Like all the other shacks in Baga beach, Safil's also had its audio systems through which they played a number of party songs to keep us entertained, they also had a dance floor which we visited a few times during our 4-5 hour dine time. They had a decent collection of alcoholic drinks, and the bartender had some tricks up his sleeve to mix up some mean cocktails.

The food which was served was also excellent, the menu had a selection of Russian, American, Italian, North Indian and Goan cuisines for us to choose from. We ordered a few varieties of fishes prepared in traditional Goan style, they were mouth wateringly delicious. To order something which is not easily available in Madras, I ordered a chicken spaghetti, the preparation was excellent, the sauce was delicious and went well with spaghetti. My friend ordered a schezwan fried rice, this was a bit different from the way its prepared in Chennai, but it was delicious.
