Fisherman's Cove

This was the last day of my trip to Goa, only the two out of the original group 6 had to keep the party going. We decided to make this a memorable day, luckily for me, my friend was as much as a foodie as I am. After spending the day shopping in the famous Newton's supermarket and visiting Fort Anjuna, we visited Fisherman's cove for dinner.

I have to admit, this is most classiest place I have ever been to. The ambiance of the restaurant is simply brilliant, there are no walls, so it kind of feels like you are dining inside a wooden canopy by the side of the beach while you are still inside the city. And, the diners were pretty much people outside India, we were the only Indian people inside the restaurant while we were dining.

You must really plan your visit or get a reservation as this place is always packed, we really got lucked out as it was easy to get a table for two, but for larger groups I would recommend that you show up early. The restaurant also had a live performance, a local singer was invited to sing a few songs to keep the diners entertained, the singer was exceptionally skilled, I really liked her version of "Cheap Thrills".

The waiters are very polite and friendly, and would recommend dishes which are delicious. They even allow substitutions and cook your food in a particular way  if you asked them to.

We decided to order light as we had an early flight the next day. So, for our dinner we ordered a Mixed Sea Food soup, a Mixed Fried Rice and a Red Snapper fish. The Red Snapper alone cost us a cool ₹1800, but it was worth every paisa, the waiter recommended that we try the fish in traditional Goan style preparation, we decided to go by his recommendation, it was great. The sea food soup was delicious, it was served on a plate instead of a bowl (Weird!!) but still it took us by surprise and was something to remember it by.

I would recommend this place 10/10. If you did not visit this place during your visit, you definitely missed out on something.
